AFFCAD School is a community based school which was founded in June 2011 by Action for Fundamental Change and Development (AFFCAD) an NGO that operates in slum communities under its Education program. The school was started with an aim of eradicating illiteracy in Bwaise community where majority of the children were unable to attain basic primary school education because of high poverty rates and lack of a government aided school in the area. Supported by AFFCAD and its Partners, the school has provided formal education to over 400 orphans, vulnerable children and those who are affected and infected with HIV/AIDS between 3-12 years from nursery to primary school.
AFFCAD School was started in June 2011 by an NGO called Action For Fundamental Change And Development (AFFCAD) initially as Excel Education Center.
